Art Workshop with Abra Caribe

On Sunday, January 14th, 2024, we welcomed a group of children from a nearby community near Mayapo. Together, we engaged in an art workshop led by @abracaribe at the Jouktai Foundation headquarters. Our focus was on exploring identity: asking the question, ‘What defines you beyond your name?’ It was a thoughtful exploration of individuality and self-expression as we delved into the characteristics that make each person unique. It was a reminder that art is a powerful tool for self-discovery and expression, where each stroke tells a story, and each color captures a moment of emotion.
