Mission & Vision

Kiteboarding Changes Lives

Empowering. Motivating. Discovering.

Mission

We support the comprehensive development of young people from La Guajira with vulnerable backgrounds, through the sport of Kiteboarding and its modalities, focusing on shaping individuals with values of responsibility, honesty, loyalty, respect, and equality, with the aim of empowering young people capable of achieving their goals and purposes.

Vision

By 2026, the Jouktai Foundation will stand as a pivotal force in the personal and athletic growth of young Wayuu leaders and other vulnerable coastal communities in La Guajira. Former team members, equipped with essential skills, will spearhead projects intertwining tourism, culture, sports, and nature, thus fostering well-being and development opportunities within their communities.

FOCUS AREAS

Nautical Sports

The beneficiaries are trained in Kiteboarding, Windsurfing, and Stand Up Paddleboarding, which contributes to their personal development. Beneficiaries of our programs acquire new skills during their free time, strengthen both their body and mind, establish lasting social relationships, and open doors to job and professional opportunities at both national and international levels.

Education

Motivate and encourage young participants to develop qualities such as teamwork, self-discipline, responsibility, resilience, commitment, and confidence, while also motivating and tutoring students to excel in their school studies.

Environmental Conservation

Raise awareness among visitors and locals about the environmental impacts of pollution from plastic waste and general debris, stemming from human activity on beaches and marine ecosystems. We foster this awareness through Cleanup Campaigns and Ecological Points in affected areas.
